Welcome back! And to celebrate: All Fresher's Week films are just £1!

Aug 31, 10:24 PM

I hope you’re all having a righteous Summer and cordially welcome you back (or to our humble Uni for the first time) to your rightful place in Sheffield, where you can learn, drink, laze it up in good ol’ student style. But most importantly, you can live it up and watch a bunch of films for less than the cost of a pint in our awesome, professional quality student run cinema.

For the uninitiated, or “freshers”, among you, I invite you to have a browse around this site and sup up all the Film Unit informationy goodness that you can. But in a nutshell: We show films, four a week, of all shapes and sizes, for just £2.20… which is entirely true apart from during Fresher’s week (September 21st-26th) when we show six of last year’s favourites for £1 each so that all you newbies can catch up with the year’s most sought after films.

Just humour me for one moment and allow me to reiterate that fact to the point of being agonisingly clear, tickets for all seven films we are showing in Fresher’s week can be puchased from the Union Box Office for one pound each. Bargain.

Techy Disclaimer: I know, I know. It says next £2.20 next to all of the Fresher films on the right… that’s a quirk of the website programming that I haven’t quite figured out yet. Trust me, all tickets to Inglorious Basterds, Let The Right One In, The Hurt Locker, Up, Avatar and (500) Days of Summer are just £1.

With that in mind, I expect to see you all there!
